The Truth About Westwood College from ABC

Westwood College is not the regionally accredited school. Westwood’s credits will not be supposed by alternative colleges. Westwood’s tall tuition, $70000 to $80000 is supplemented by their own in-house tyro loan during 18% interest. Many of the graduates Westwood claims to benefit ‘employment in their margin of study’ essentially get jobs AT Westwood College for the small duration of time.

@bunnyrabbit That’s not right and is a cop out. If you’re excellent at what you do, professors will take time to know you and refer you to interships and possibly introduce you to people in high places in your career of choice.
$100k+ of debt and $70k+ tuition!!!!! That’s more than most, if not all of, graduate students from top universities.
current student – and well hmmmmm idk im riding the fence on this one cause yeah $80g + interests in debt isn’t the business but i feel those students who didn’t get a “career” with their degree is because they were relying on the degree… HELLO A-HOLES DEGREES DON’T PROMISE YOU A DAMN THING! no offense … You need to earn your career – smh. ITS NOT Everest and they DON’T place you in jobs that’s all up to you home skillet – but I wouldn’t recomment WWC to anyone. LOL
O YEA AND GRADUATING WITH HONORS AINT SHIT ITS ALLA BOUT THE WORK YOU DO THE EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE AND WHAT YOU’RE WILLING TO PLACE UP WITH AND START OF WITH. YOU CANT EXPECT TO CLIM A MOUNTAIN WITH OUT ANY EQUIPMENT AND THEY WOULDN’T LET U TRY IF U HAD NO EXPERIENCE.
and I like it I have no complains and ill tell u what they told me “its up to u to get hired u cant depend on us we can only do so much” not only that they told me everything they are “not getting told” these people probably dint try and there work probably sucked not only that but its one sided were is my voice and the others only one excellent tale and 20 terrible ones so bull shit is all i have to say i like my school my classmates and teachers another way to get simple money with out work!…
P.s The reason I dont recommend ITT-TECH is because they canceled my program half way and left me hanging in what I wanted to do and needed a BS to get a gob. I despise college cuz they wanted me to study what they wanted in the field that gets hired bull shit is my life and this happened before ITT. after I went back and they wouldn’t transfer me, so i went to Westwood.
O AND BTW PEOPLE!! READ THE FINE LINES ON THE THINGS YOU SIGN ON!! THEY TELL YOU ALL THESE THINGS NOT ONLY THAT THE PEOPLE THAT DON’T GET HIRED ARE THE ONES WITH TERRIBLE ATTITUDES AND THERE WORK REALLY SUCKS!! SO U KNOW WHAT I DON’T FEEL TERRIBLE IM PROUD OF MY SCHOOL SO SCREW YOU ALL!!
NO OFFENSE PEOPLE BUT THIS IS BULL SHIT!! sorry but im currently in this school and they give you a better education than any college I have been to and trust me I have been to a regular college and it sucked BALLS!!. I am currently employed in my field of study and still have about a year or so to graduate im in Game Art not only that a lot of my graduate friends also have jobs. One of them Works For Square Enix. so to me this is bull the only school I dont recommend is ITT they Fucked Me OVER

Waverly at the state college I attend I don’t know anyone that didn’t land a 40k starting salary if they graduated with a BA in accounting and attained a 3.0 gpa.
Maybe you can transfer the credits received at Westwood to Everest. lol.

How about U of M, or EMU, Notre Dame or any other REAL university

@gasass6383 ehhh, any public and non-profit school will not charge you that for a phony diploma.
Name me a college that isn’t a profitable organization, name a technical institution that doesn’t warn that its credits may not transfer, find me a college that doesn’t require the average person to aquire a ton of debt. Online is the way of the future. I have a family and have to hold a full-time job, this is the onmly way to go. But remember, the student is responsible for learning the information available. What a joke.

AND I KNOW HOW THEY OPERATE AND A TEACHER WARNED ME AND I LEFT AND WENT TO REGULAR COMMUNITY COLLEGE GOT FINANCIAL AID MONEY IN MY HANDS GRADUATED AND NOW IM AT USC; AWESOME. TRUST ME GO TO RECUALAR COLLEGE STAY AWAY FROM TV CORPORATION SCHOOLS, THEY JUST LEAVE YOU WITH DEBT; TRUST ME.

I WENT TO WESTWOOD YOU DO NOT, DO NOT RECEIVED FINANCIAL AID MONEY IN YOUR HANDS A CHECK IN YOUR HANDS LIKE YOU WOULD IF YOU WENT TO A REGULAR COLLEGE. LEAVE TV ADVERTISED SCHOOLS ALONE TRUST ME I WENT TO WESTWOOD IN 2003 AND 2 MONTHS LATER I LEFT CAUSE OF THAT TEACHER THAT WORKED THERE WARNED ME. AND HE WAS RIGHT.

Front Line (PBS) College Inc. March 6. 9pm
After seeing MANY disheartening videos and testimonies on Westwood, I am sickened by what is in front of me. I am a current student starting my 3rd term, and to be honest, the things I have learned is nothing different than what I could learn by picking up a text book from the local library. The ONLY applicable thing I’ve learned at the school in 3 terms is how to use MS Office. That’s It. I will be seeing my recruiter tomorrow to withdraw myself from the school. DAMN WESTWOOD!!!!!

A TEACHER AT WESTWOOD TOLD ME I SHOULD GO TO REGULAR COLLEGE CAUSE IT IS CHEAPER. THATS HOW I KNEW SOMTHING WAS INCORRECT WITH WESTWOOD. AND I TOOK HIS ADVICE AND IT SAVED ME ALOT OF MONEY AND I RECIEVED FINANCIAL AID; AWESOME.

same academic rigor?? not right. i took online classes they were seriously middle school level. westwood is a total scam.
I went to this school and they fucked me.
