What if my parents don’t finance my loan for college?

My relatives have been divorced as well as we live with my father as well as during times he infrequently says which when we need help removing in to college he won’t financial my loan or pointer any writings for me. If he unequivocally meant this as well as wasn’t melancholy me afterwards what would we do if this unequivocally happened? we can’t get loans for college but his consent? And if he doesn’t agree could we see the counsel or such to direct his consent? If not, afterwards we won’t be starting to college?

the college issue should have been addressed at your parent’s divorce when they were working out the details of the custody and child support. It if wasn’t then there is nothing you can do to force your father to pay for your college education.

you’ll have to do what everyone else does and earn scholarships apply for financial aid, do work study and get a job. you may have to go to school part time while you work full time. it may take you a small longer to get your degree. but if you want it and no one is paying for you, then you’ll have to figure out how to get what you want on your own.

Fill out a fafsa. Even if you don’t qualify for federal and/or state grants, you’ll qualify for federal student loans (that do not require “consent” or a cosigner). There is a maximum that can be used each year, so if you do not have any other source of money for college, then you’ll need to attend a school that is cheaper than that maximum. You can apply for tons of scholarships.

There are many parents that do not contribute to college, and it’s really recommended by financial experts that they do NOT cosign for their children because it can drain their savings and/or ruin their credit. There are ways to go to college, just be sure to fill out your fafsa. Excellent luck!
